Minor research project
The Directorate of Kokborok and Other Minority Languages (OML) introduced an opportunity for researchers through its 1year Minor Research Project program, which focuses on Kokborok and seven other minority languages of Tripura. This initiative invites eligible individuals from various academic backgrounds who are eager to delve into innovative studies related to language, literature, art, culture, or any other associated fields. The language communities included in this project are Kokborok, Chakma, Halam, Garo, Kuki-Mizo, Manipuri, Bishnupriya Manipuri, and Mog.
As part of its commitment to fostering research and preserving linguistic heritage, the Directorate, under the Education Department (School) of the Government of Tripura, offers financial support of ₹ 1.00 lakh for 1 year to facilitate the endeavours of individuals and researchers. This is a valuable chance to contribute to the understanding and appreciation minority languages, engaging in meaningful research that can have a lasting impact on our cultural & linguistic tapestry. The Directorate of Kokborok & Other Minority Languages encourages interested researchers to take advantage of this unique opportunity.
